A lot of people don’t like enclosed spaces like rooms without windows. Being in a confined space feels like you are strangled, exerting effort to breathe. In bathrooms, the space feels like you’re in a cube, especially if the bathrooms don’t have windows. The atmosphere in windowless bathrooms is dry and uncomfortable. To keep the air circulating, in-line exhaust fans are installed to make it happen.

What are inline exhaust fans? In-line exhaust fans are designed to ventilate the room and they are installed in remote areas with less noise and energy consumption. There are some in-line exhaust fans that are built to circulate air in multiple rooms. This type is called a multiple port in-line exhaust fan. A single port in-line exhaust fan is built for a single room application. Both types are designed to have control switches in automatic and manual mode according to the specification of the homeowner. In-line exhaust fans can be built in bathrooms, laundry areas, attics and other confined spaces that need air ventilation. Proper ventilation of areas prevents discomfort and high humidity level that can cause health problems and damage furniture.

There are in-line exhaust fans that are designed with a humidity sensor that is activated when the humidity level of the room reaches a certain point. Other in-line exhaust fans have motion sensing models that automatically turns on when someone uses the bathroom or when the bathroom light is turned on.

In-line exhaust fans are built and designed to prevent back drafting. Back drafting happens when the exhaust fans bring outside air into the homes. The air from the outside can be a mixture of gasses that are emitted from vehicles that have a high concentration level of carbon monoxide. As a result, in-line exhaust fans are a combination of exhaust-only and supply only fans, providing maximum comfort for the occupants. In-line exhaust fans are also designed to be used for all types of climates, unlike the exhaust-only fans and supply-only fans. Exhaust-only fans are suitable for usage during cold climate while supply-only fans are for hot and humid climate use.

In our homes, we always make it a point that our loved ones are comfortable and safe and we take extra effort to choose the best equipment and appliances to provide us the comfort. In-line exhaust fans provide the ventilation our families need in our homes, for maximum comfort and atmosphere control within our reach.
